Welcome to Charles Dunn Motor Engineer. We operate from well equipped workshops with in-house engineering and fabrication facilities. We have close links with many supplier and engineering companies in the UK and America providing components and specialist services
We have a philosophy of attention to detail enabling us to provide customers with a high quality service whether simply preparing, repairing or maintaining a vehicle.
Since being established, the range of vehicles has covered historic, current and every-day road vehicles up to high performance exotic vehicles.
Currently our successful BMW E36 race car under the CWR Racing banner has successfully competed in the capable hands of Gavin Dunn. Under the wing of CWR Racing, track and race day support is provided to client competitors in their own race cars following their car’s pre-event preparation in the workshop.
Charles trained at Rolls Royce Motors Ltd Crewe during the 1970’s but had an interest in vehicles from an early age. He would help out at a local car workshop working on everything from family cars to Formula 5000 hill climb cars. In recent years he has been involved with Ultima Sports Car customers providing mechanical services including engine rebuilding, performance development and vehicle set-up. An in-depth knowledge of engine building including American V8’s along with their Holley fuelling systems has been gained over many decades. Charles is supported by a small team of dedicated technicians who take pride in their work.
